Ellisar Zylkas
This character is one I made for a D&D 5E campaing. A blonde elf with green eyes, designed to woo women and fool others. I had just played a rogue prior and liked it a lot so I started with the idea of making a rogue character with enough charisma to get him out of any bad spot and landed on Ellisar. When I started building his story I wanted to add more flair to it, so I created the city of Londen, a den of thievery and swindling where the streets of the "lowtown" were dirty, packed and full of opportunists, and I created what I called the "Circle of Thieves" a joint group of the greatest thieves of Londen, all with different specializations, that Ellisar was part of, but as I didn't want the Circle to be a antagonistic force I created the real villain, a faceless person known only as the King of Beggars.
However I also needed to create a turbulent childhood fitting for Londen, but I couldn't land on a clean way for him to be so confident with the angle I chose as a orphan, so I decided to make a different identity and thought of the best way for the "original" character to develop into Ellisar organically in lore and landed on theater. Essentially then, Ellisar Zylkas in lore is a character created by Connal Sarlana, a meek and shy half-elf boy with brown hair and eyes, that loved to watch plays and cheer for their heroes, so he idealized Ellisar to be akin to those heroes and live the life he wanted to live, so much so he went very deep into a sort of "method acting" and dissociated himself completely from Ellisar. In the campaing they lived as two completely different people, almost polar opposites. He uses masterful acting and artifices like minor illusions and paddings/platform shoes to create the visual of Ellisar.
