What I like to play

My gaming habits vary a lot, I usually play anything friends might call me to play, with a slight dislike for MOBAs however my preference is in single player story games, specially in the Hack & Slash genre with games like Devil May Cry 3 making the basis of my discovery of the genre.

I also play roguelikes moderatelly, games like The Binding of Isaac, Dead Cells, Wizard of Legend and Absolum have high playtime count on my Steam profile.

I also favour rhythm games a lot with games like Rhythm Doctor, Metal: Hellsinger and Just Shapes & Beats (Not considering Sekiro a rhythm game here, even though I should.) being the ones I played tons of most recently, however none of those scratch the amount of hours I played Guitar Hero since I was a child, this is the game that kicked it off for me and I played it tons mostly because of influence from my older brother.

Now I'm gonna use this space to advocate for a recently released game from a studio no one's ever heard of. If you like the genres I talked about above, there is a game that blends them masterfully, even though it is more of a Beat 'em Up than Hack & Slash, the line between those genres is blurry anyway, I am talking about a game called Dead As Disco, it makes you fight *stylishly* through waves of enemies and cinematic bosses while moving to the rhythm of an AMAZING soundtrack. Even if rhythm games aren't you thing I urge you to give this game a shot

Sekiro

My favorite game

I always like FromSoftware games, since I played Dark Souls back around 2016 however Sekiro took the Dark Souls formula and elevated it to play like a Soulslike, a movie, and a rhythm game at the same time. For those that doen't know the game is set in the japanese Sengoku period, wich is kind of feudal Japan, you play as a shinobi, bound to serve a lord that is constantly being targeted for their bloodline, said to contain immortality.

Besides me already liking Sengoku period Japan, the Sekiro gameplay REALLY enchanted me in a way nothing else had or has since. The intense sword clashes were perfectly times, you had either to be attacking or defending, organically taking turns with the opponent, and if you dared to dodge you were taking a hit. I liked this so much so I created a youtube channel where I dedicated myself to fighting the final boss of Sekiro, using nothing but normal attacks, hitless every day for over a year.

Here, if you want to check that out.
